Like many service based businesses, Precision Properties depends on a network of individuals and companies in various, related industries in order to deliver quality service to our clients. To assist our clients in completing a real estate purchase or sale, we often leverage our relationships with attorneys, mortgage brokers, home inspectors (if we are the buyer agent in the transaction) and other professionals in order to meet our clients' needs. Behind the scenes, these relationships as well as others (insurance, banking…etc) are instrumental to the day to day operations of our business and those of our development affiliate, Hawthorn Investments.
In the course of our dealings with clients, colleagues, friends and family, we are often approached to by people asking for contacts in various industries and positions. While we recommend to everyone that they reach out to multiple sources when seeking referrals for various services, we have developed relationships with individuals and firms whom we are very comfortable recommending. Tavis Babbitt - Babbitt Design
In 2007, Hawthorn Investments was referred to Babbitt Design and engaged Tavis Babbitt to draw the plans for our Ingleside Rd project. Since that time, Tavis has gone on to design additional Hawthorn Investments new construction projects - Stockdale Rd, Park Ave, Dunbarton Rd and South St - while also collaborating on smaller contracting efforts and condominium conversions. Tavis brings fresh design ideas and a strong work ethic to our projects, and we have referred Tavis to friends, colleagues and family members who have experienced similar results.
Tavis Babbitt began Babbitt Design in May of 2000. Prior to this he had extensive work in the architecture and construction fields. Originally enrolled in a civil engineering program at Castleton State College, Tavis found himself drawn to construction, and he engaged in this field during the summer months for three years. Tavis obtained a degree in architectural engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1996. He worked directly under several experienced architects at two firms, Streibert Associates in Newton and Architectural Partners in Watertown. Both firms were primarily focused on residential projects, some of which were townhouse developments. Taking that knowledge and experience with the added background in construction, Tavis moved to an upmarket design-build firm in Wellesley, CM&D. This allowed him to gain more on-site experience working directly with homeowners, as well as contractors. While maintaining a consulting relationship with his previous employers, Tavis has established his own client base and continues to develop Babbitt Design from the ground up.

Alan is a shareholder with the public accounting firm of Friedman, Suvalle & Salomon, P.C. located in Newton, MA. He has been with the firm since 1998 and in public accounting since 1993. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Cum Laude, from Boston University and also earned a Master of Science in Taxation, Distinction, from Bentley College.
